Approach

Here, we study a connectome of a millimeter-cubed volume of mouse visual cortex (MICrONS Consortium et al. 2021). The dataset is stored in a CAVE database (Dorkenwald et al. 2023), which tracks the edits which are made over time to the segmentation.

We further focused on a subset of the data which received extensive proofreading, namely, a set of inhibitory neurons located in a column spanning the entire cortical depth (Schneider-Mizell et al. 2023).
